The Royal Marsden has an ambitious Digital Services strategy involving implementation of major enterprise solutions over the period 2020-2024. These include a new Digital Health Record in replacement of its current EPR solution, a new data warehouse, and new solutions supporting digital diagnostic services and wider information sharing with our partner healthcare providers.

We are looking for an experienced and talented Full-stack Senior Developer to join the team at this exciting time. You will be comfortable in both front and back-end development and have strong data modelling skills and database experience. A background in healthcare application development is desirable.

Responsibilities
• Develop applications to customer requirements, project timelines, safe practice and architectural standards
• Act as technical lead and subject matter expert in major corporate and clinical application areas
• Mentor more junior staff and share technical knowledge through workshops and peer review
• Liaise with wide-ranging stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
• Follow quality processes governing software development
• Own the resolution of software issues as part of incident and problem management

Essential skills and experience
• Proven technical ability and leadership in complex software development projects
• In-depth knowledge of front and back-end development technologies and tools (e.g. HTML, javascript, CSS, ASP.NET, C#, XML, Web Services, SQL)
• Strong working knowledge of software development methodologies and modern design patterns
• ITIL training and practice desirable
