An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical data and programming coordinator to join the Royal Marsden Clinical Trials Unit (CTU). We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated team player to contribute to the interface between the Clinical Teams, Trial Managers, Statisticians, Monitors and Database Programmers (AfC Band 7) in establishing databases for the collection of clinical trials data for Royal Marsden Sponsored Phase I, II & III trials across numerous tumour types.

The post holder would be expected to:

  • Be responsible for supporting the development of clinical trial databases in MACRO specifying data checks and performing validation, reviewing and cleaning data and facilitating reporting of the data. 
  • To develop and deliver protocol specific training on the use of MACRO for sites participating in RM Sponsored studies. 
  • Have demonstrable expertise in CRF design, data management and data reporting requirements for clinical trials.
  • Have operational experience in clinical trial data management system eg MACRO, OpenClinica, INFORM.
  • Be educated to degree level or equivalent with extensive experience in clinical trial database design and familiarity with the regulatory environment surrounding clinical trials.

  • A flexible but organized approach to work with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  •  The ability to work as part of a small team and with a number of key colleagues across more than one department and site.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • A methodical and systematic approach to work with appropriate attention to detail.
