We are looking for a Clinical Research Operations Coordinator to take on new and exciting role within the clinical research and development department.  The position is fixed term for 24 months with a view to extend.

The role of the Clinical Research Operations Coordinator is to contribute to a high quality service for clinical researchers and the clinical research workforce at all times. To provide timely, efficient and effective operational management support for the three Clinical Research Operations Managers (CROMs), assisting as required and ensuring that these services are responsive, innovative and provided to the highest possible standard.  A key part of the role is to coordinate the recruitment and on-boarding of Clinical Research Fellows across clinical units, and to manage all relevant human resources / workforce processes for this staff group.

The post holder will help to prepare agendas and will take minutes at a range of meetings, including the Biomedical Research Centre theme working groups, Clinical Research Operations Group, industry operational partnership meetings, and other meetings as required. In addition, the post-holder will coordinate operational working groups in support of specific projects related to research operational management. The  post  holder  will  be  expected  to support the identification  and  implementation of  initiatives and projects to  improve services or address regulatory requirements in consultation with the CROMs. The ability to communicate effectively at all levels within a complex multidisciplinary environment is essential.

This responsible role requires an exceptionally organised person, with good communication skills who is able to learn and adapt to this evolving post. Many aspects of the role require close interaction with a range of professionals. Good IT skills including the ability to use databases and prepare standard reports are also an essential requirement.  The Clinical Research Operations Coordinator will regularly meet with the CROMs to address any issues of concern and to provide information and reports on operational management.

The role will be primarily based at our hospital in Sutton, but there will be a requirement to travel to and work from our hospital in Chelsea on a regular basis.
