The Royal Marsden Gastro-intestinal & Lymphoma Unit is heavily involved in ground breaking research, running our own Royal Marsden sponsored clinical trials of investigational medicinal product throughout the UK and globally, as well as hosting pharmaceutical industry lead trials.  Our work also involves a large portfolio of translational research projects as well as working with other academic units across the UK.

We are now in the position to be able to offer a very exciting opportunity for a new Senior Clinical Trial Manager to join our established trials office team.  We would expect applicants to have had full experience of setting up and managing clinical trials to the UK clinical trials regulations with previous clinical trial project management experience from protocol development to reporting and archiving.  Experience of preparing IRAS submissions for the Medicines & Healthcare Regulatory Authority and Research Ethics Committee is essential along with experience of developing systems and processes to allow efficient management and conduct of large multi-centre CTIMPs.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a proven track record in the planning, management and conduct of clinical trials.  They must be self- motivated, pro-active and well organised to work within this friendly team in a highly pressurised environment at the forefront of research into Gastro-intestinal cancer and Lymphoma.

Applicants should hold a first degree in a life science or health related subject and have an in depth understanding and working experience of Good Clinical Practice, Data Protection and Research Governance. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential to work to the high standards required by the Regulatory Authorities and Sponsors across a variety of tasks with constant regard to all regulatory requirements and Trust Standard Operating Procedures.

Appointment will be on a fixed term contract for 11.5 months in the first instance but will be open to review annually thereafter
