Expansion of the Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) Team in Private Patient Medical Day Unit (PPMDU) Sutton has resulted in an exciting opportunity for an experienced oncology ANP wishing to work within the existing day unit Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Specialist Grade Doctor Team. They will be a highly specialised role model and leader for all members of staff, and play a major role in the continuous development of the services across the Private Care units and the Trust.

You will need an understanding of the Systemic Anticancer Treatments commonly seen within PPMDU and the complexities involved in caring for patients receiving these treatments. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate an understanding of the specific needs and expectations of patients receiving SACT in a day-care setting and the processes affecting their care.

You will have a clear understanding of the role of the ANP as a clinical expert, leader, researcher and educator. You will also be committed to the development of specialist nursing practice and demonstrate evidence of on-going professional and academic development. A successful appointment will depend upon interview and fulfilling service requirements.

You will need to have successfully completed a first degree and have either attained your Masters degree or be willing to undertake further study to attain this. Non-medical prescribing would be a pre-requisite for this post.
