Hours: Part Time 0.6 (3 days per week)

We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated person who has a range of experience with working with children at preschool and Key stage 1. The successful applicant will have a good knowledge of speech language and communication difficulties and experience of supporting children with additional learning needs.
Being educated to GCSE level with a professional qualification such as NVQ level 3 or equivalent is essential.

Your duties will involve working as part of a team to support delivery of speech and language therapy targets to a range of children with complex needs. This will include working independently to deliver targets set by a speech and language therapist and working alongside other team members to deliver groups and individual interventions. You will be responsible for writing of clinical notes and supporting the distribution of paperwork and creating therapy resources. Good IT and organisational skills will be required.

We offer supervision and training to extend your clinical skills and knowledge.

The post is part time for 22.5 hrs. You would be based within the clinic service and support delivery of services across 3 clinic settings with some work within early years education settings.

We are committed to professional development, offering regular in-service training and peer group / one to one supervision.  Internal and external courses are supported and there will be opportunities to develop the skills required for this post.

Successful candidates will have demonstrable skills working with different client groups.  You should be flexible, organised and creative with good IT skills, and enjoy working with children, their families and other team members.  You should also have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
