We are looking for two enthusiastic physicists with experience in Radiotherapy Physics to join the Physics and Engineering team at the Sutton branch of the Hospital for time limited positions. This is to cover a one year maternity leave, and a position which is time limited to the end of 2019, to back fill staff, who temporarily do research on the MRLinac .

Applicants should have a good honours degree in physics or a closely related discipline, plus an MSc related to Radiotherapy physics. Experience of treatment planning and an appreciation of QA and dosimetry are expected.

The Radiotherapy Department in Sutton has 7 clinical and one research Elekta linear accelerators with either MLCi, or Agility MLCs and portal imaging. At present one of the MLCi clinical linacs are being replaced by a VersaHD. Additional equipment includes Cone Beam CT on all linacs. External beam treatment planning systems (TPS) includes RayStation and Philips’ Pinnacle TPS, where Conformal, stereotactic, IMRT and VMAT plan techniques are in routine use. 4D CT acquisition is routine, where applicable.
