Band 6 Specialist Neuro Physiotherapist

The Sutton Community Neuro Services is currently looking for a dynamic Physiotherapist, with experience of neurological conditions to join our friendly and positive thinking team. The Community Neuro services offers service to patients with Stroke (including Early Supported Discharge for stroke patients) and Long Term Neuro conditions. The Multi-disciplinary team consists of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, Parkinson’s disease specialist and rehabilitation assistants.

There are opportunities for group work, joint goal-planning and integrated working. Staffs are well-supported through regular supervision and the appraisal process. The team strives to constantly improve service delivery and contributions from all staff are highly valued. We are committed to supporting CPD with staff training identified through the appraisal system, in service training, external courses and clinical supervision.We offer both domiciliary and outpatient physio services to patients. We run different group based activities such as Balance group, Exercise After Stroke group and PD Go. This mix of services offers the successful candidate the potential to develop skills across these areas.

The post offers the opportunity to work as part of a caring and dedicated team. Excellent communication skills are required, as are good organisational skills and a flexible approach to everyday practice. IT skills will also form a large part of the role.

This Team will transition to be part of Sutton Health and Care Provider Alliance in April 2019. Sutton Health and Care (SHC) is an alliance between local partner health and social care organisations, which will be hosted by Epsom and St Helier University NHS Trust from April 2019.  The SHC Alliance was formed so that local health and care providers can work together to deliver high quality health and social care for Sutton residents and ensure that care will be coordinated around the needs of the person and will encompass all elements of care whilst supporting people in their homes to be independent and health for as long as possible.
