This post is for a very experienced physicist with detailed knowledge of Radiotherapy Physics. The post is based at RMH Sutton and the role is to lead and manage the Physics and Engineering team at the Sutton branch of the Hospital. The candidate should have detailed knowledge of equipment and treatment planning processes and knowledge of equipment specific to the Sutton department, would be advantageous.

Applicants should have a good honours degree in physics or a closely related discipline, plus an MSc related to Radiotherapy physics. Experience of local management, advanced treatment planning and an appreciation of QA and dosimetry, and imaging for radiotherapy are expected.

The Radiotherapy Department in Sutton has 7 clinical and one research Elekta linear accelerators with either Agility or MLCi heads and portal imaging. Additional equipment includes Cone Beam CT on all linacs. External beam treatment planning systems (TPS) includes Monaco for the MRLinac treatments, RayStation and Philips' Pinnacle TPS, where Conformal, stereotactic, IMRT and VMAT plan techniques are in routine use. 4D CT acquisition PET and MR imaging are in routine use for specific site.
