An opportunity has arisen in the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust for a pharmacy technician eligible to be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (or a trainee technician with less than 6 months remaining of their qualification) to work on a permanent basis within the Pharmacy Aseptic Services Unit in Sutton. The work is varied, including cytotoxics and gene therapy. You are offered the opportunity to specialise and further develop your career by participating in our newly developed training package.

This post provides support to senior aseptic services staff in carrying out and coordinating the operational duties provided by the aseptic service.

Previous experience of working in a busy aseptic unit including preparation of worksheets and aseptically prepared products is required.

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Technician, Aseptic Services you will possess good communication and inter personal skills. In addition flexibility, willingness and good teamwork are essential.

If a trainee technician is given the post a fixed term contract of 6 months will be issued at Band 3 to allow the employee to complete their qualification and register with the GPhC.
