Specialist Community Public Health Nurse – School Nurse  / Health Visitor (willing to undertake Additional Field of Practice) – Full and Part Time vacancies available

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Sutton Community Service to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and committed School Nurse to join our team in Sutton. You will deliver the Healthy Child Programme to children 5-19 years and work closely with other agencies to ensure that the 4 5 6 model of School Nursing is implemented to safeguard  children, young people are their families and promote their health and well-being.

You should possess robust assessment skills and have the ability to demonstrate a commitment to leading and delivering key public health priorities. You should be able to deliver a range of evidence based public health interventions to include: safeguarding, health assessments, secondary school drop-in’s, parent workshops, health screening, delivery of NCMP, parent workshops, enuresis and healthy lifestyles clinics.

You will be expected to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all aspects of safeguarding children whilst being supported by robust organisational supervision, guidelines and policies.

Applicants must be Registered Nurses with SCPHN/SN qualification or SCPHN/HV and willing to undertake the Additional Field of Practice mobile (Level 6) to become dual qualified. Qualified nurses who are currently studying for the SCPHN/SN qualification and are due to qualify in the next four months. are also invited to apply. Access to a vehicle and possession of a full driving license is essential.
