The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust has an Electronic Patient Record (EPR) with advanced functionality delivering to the needs of the clinical user base. The development and expansion of the EPR is a key objective of the Trust in order to improve patient pathways and efficiency.

As such the IT Department is seeking a manager to lead the Clinical IT Systems Quality Assurance and Validation team. The post holder will have specialist knowledge and expertise in quality assurance.

The role will involve accountability for the quality of new solutions and system changes to ensure these are fit for purpose and safe for clinical use. The post holder must have passion and drive to lead and develop the evolution of testing within the team.

The post holder will have excellent organisational skills, experience in application/system testing, knowledge of system validation governance processes and usage of robust quality management systems. Previous experience in healthcare information technology is highly desirable.

The post holder will have experience in working closely with senior management within IT departments as well as healthcare professionals including consultants, senior nurses and other hospital staff, to support the successful implementation/delivery of IT systems/solutions.
