Radiotherapy Aide (Pathway Co-ordinator)

The Royal Marsden Hospital is the largest comprehensive cancer centre in Europe with an international reputation for high quality patient care, research and education. This administrative role will give you the opportunity to work in a vibrant and busy radiotherapy department within a team that are compassionate and dedicated to delivering high quality patient care in everything they do.

The post-holder will be primarily responsible for booking and manipulating complex radiotherapy pathways to tailor treatment requirements to the individual patient. They will also be key in communicating this complex information to patients along with preparation instructions for the radiotherapy planning process. This role will sit within a dedicated team at the Sutton site but the post holder will coordinate patient flow for both sites of the radiotherapy department.

We are looking for an efficient and organized person with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will also be IT literate with an interest in healthcare. We are looking for individuals to demonstrate in their application and at interview an understanding of what working in a healthcare environment requires.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
