Our busy Central Referrals Office is looking for a part time Referrals Officer to join the team. This broad, patient centred and high profile role is integral to the operational running of the department which is currently striving to meet the challenge of paper switch off and additional demand across the Trust. The main function of the role will be to process, coordinate and schedule the patient appointments, from referral to first outpatient appointment.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in the NHS. The post holder will have responsibility for supporting and working with a variety of staff throughout the Trust including medical secretaries, clinical teams and other administrator roles. You will also be responsible for liaising with GP Practices and patients to book their appointments. Candidates should have excellent organisational and communications skills, be able to work under pressure whilst ensuring all deadlines are achieved.

This is a great opportunity for a candidate wishing to contribute to the efficient running of a busy service.
