A locum consultant radiologist with interests in cross-sectional imaging and breast radiology is required to commence as soon as possible. This locum post is for a Consultant Radiologist with an interest in cross-sectional imaging and breast radiology, and is required to support expanding activities within the Rapid Diagnostic & Assessment Clinics (RDAC) at both branches (Chelsea and Sutton) of the Royal Marsden Hospital. It is initially for a period of six months with a view to extension for a further six months.

The breast radiology is focussed on symptomatic patients evaluated through the established RDAC services at both sites. The postholder will require relevant skills, including mammography, breast ultrasound and diagnostic intervention. A significant component of the post is to contribute to high volumes of cross-sectional imaging reporting including CT, body MRI, including pelvic and breast MRI, and general ultrasound.

There will be opportunities to develop special interests and participate in MDT activity which forms a significant proportion of the radiology department’s work.

The Royal Marsden Hospital has branches in central London and Surrey, and the post will involve working at both sites.

Applicants should hold a CCT in Diagnostic Radiology or be within three months of gaining CCT. FRCR or equivalent and full registration with the GMC are essential. Some research experience would be an advantage.
