The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust has an international reputation for high quality patient care, education and research and its partnership with the Institute of Cancer Research has created the largest comprehensive cancer centre in Europe.

Applications are invited for a Clinical Research Fellow in Gastrointestinal (GI) Cancers post, beginning September 2019 (although there is flexibility in start date if an earlier date is requested, subjetc to negotiation). There are three identical posts available.

This post is suited to a core medical trainee 2 (CMT2 trainee) interested in acquiring medical oncology and research experience prior to applying for specialist training in oncology or to a post CCT trainee looking to develop their GI cancers knowledge in more detail and to gain experience in running, managing and devising clinical and translational trials in GI cancers. The unit will support personal development and the time will be CV building. The successful candidate will undertake clinical research and GI clinics each week.

The post will be based in the GI unit which operates at both the Sutton and Chelsea sites of the Royal Marsden Hospital. In order to fulfil the responsibilities of this post you must be eligible for full GMC registration, have a National training number (NTN) in the relevant specialty (medical, clinical oncology, gastroenterology or haematology) and MRCP equivalent.
