The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust has an international reputation for high quality patient care, education and research and its partnership with the Institute of Cancer Research has created the largest comprehensive cancer centre in Europe.

Applications are invited for a Clinical Research Fellow in Early Diagnosis post, beginning July 2019 (although there is flexibility in start date).

This post is suited to a specialty trainee (ST4+ trainee) interested in acquiring lung cancer and research experience in the latter part of their respiratory or oncology training program or to a post CCT trainee looking to develop their lung cancer and early diagnosis knowledge in more detail and to gain experience in running, managing and devising clinical and translational research in early diagnosis of cancers (lung priority). The unit will support personal development and the time will be CV building. The succesful candidate will undertake clinical research and lung cancer clinical activity each week.

The post will be based in the lung unit which operates at both the Chelsea and Sutton sites of the Royal Marsden Hospital. In order to fulfil the responsibilities of this post you must be eligible for full GMC registration, have a National training number (NTN) in the relevant specialty (respiratory, medical or clinical oncology) and MRCP equivalent. The post would be for 2-3 years duration and the post holder would be expected to apply for a Phd or MD.
