We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic nurse to join our lung team.

You will have experience in the care and support of patients, their relatives and carers with lung cancer. You will have an understanding of all treatment modalities associated with lung cancer and the complexities involved in caring for this patient group/population. The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate an understanding of the specific needs and expectations of this group of patients. You will be working very closely with the Trust’s clinical and medical consultant oncologists to deliver a holistic, patient focused service to support and improve the outcomes and experience of our patients.

As keyworker you will work autonomously, with an ability to organise and prioritise your own work load and work flexibly within the team to support all  patients referred to the unit.

You will have a clear understanding of the role of the clinical nurse specialist as a clinical expert, leader, researcher and educator, acting as a resource to all levels of healthcare professionals, providing education and training as appropriate. You will also be committed to the development of specialist nursing practice and demonstrate evidence of ongoing professional and academic development.

This role will be based cross-site, in both Chelsea and Sutton
