Applications are invited for an Assistant Clinical Business Unit (CBU) Manager to work at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust within the Breast, Plastics, Lung, Acute Oncology and Medical Day Unit Clinical Business Unit, in the Cancer Services Division.

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is one of the leading cancer centres in the world and has an international reputation for the care and treatment it provides.  The associated Institute of Cancer Research has a similar reputation for research and development.  The partnership between the Royal Marsden Hospital and the Institute of Cancer Research constitutes a centre of excellence for research and development, education, treatment and care in cancer.  Together they are acknowledged to be one of the largest comprehensive cancer centres in the world.  The Royal Marsden serves a local, regional, national and international population from two hospital sites, Chelsea and Sutton.

The Assistant CBU Manager will provide timely, efficient and effective operational management support for the Cancer Services Division, assisting the CBU Manager as required and ensuring that these services are responsive, innovative and provided to the highest possible standard. The post holder will directly line manage and ensure the smooth operation of clinical administration teams within the CBU, have responsibility for creating and maintaining compliant SHO and registrar rotas across two sites, ensuring safe and adequate staffing.  They will also be responsible for working with the wider team to ensure all operational performance and financial targets are met.  This is an opportunity for someone looking to further develop their managerial skills in a friendly and supportive team.
