The partnership between the Royal Marsden Hospital and the Institute of Cancer Research constitutes a centre of excellence for research and development, education, treatment and care in cancer. Together they are acknowledged to be one of the largest comprehensive cancer centres in the world. The Royal Marsden serves a local, regional, national and international population from two hospital sites, Chelsea and Sutton.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and forward thinking doctor to the post of Urology Oncology Surgical Fellow working predominantly at the Fulham Road (Chelsea).

The post holder will work under the supervision of Mr Alan Thompson, Mr Pardeep Kumar, Professor David Nicol, Mr Declan Cahill, Mr Eric Mayer and Mr Christopher Ogden and will spend time with the Medical and Clinical Oncologists on site. There is also an expectation that the post holder participate in discussions with the Consultant group about performance, clinical system improvements, patient safety, education and training as well as day to day management issues.

This post will form part of the 1:7 pelvic surgery rota based at Chelsea; the rota is non-resident and provides cover for both sites of the Trust. On-call arrangements will be within the regulation of the European Union directive.
