Intensive care Sister/Charge Nurse Band 7

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Sister/Charge Nurse to lead and manage our team of staff in the Critical Care Unit. This is a great opportunity to play a major role in taking nursing forward for patients and their families at a critical stage of their cancer experience.

You will have a post-registration qualification in Critical Care, sufficient recent critical care experience, be confident and competent in coordinating shifts in the intensive care setting. Oncology experience is desirable but not essential as we provide access to oncology courses.  

The  Critical Care Unit (CCU) at The Royal Marsden, Chelsea, facilitates the provision of exceptional treatment and care to patients throughout critical phases of their cancer journey and received an outstanding rating from the CQC.  The 16 bed Critical Care Unit facility dedicated entirely to the cancer patients in the UK and boasts some of the best survival rates for critically ill haemato- oncology patients in Europe.

At the heart of everything we do within highly technical area is the patient, often immediately post major complex cancer surgery under a range of specialities, or experiencing acute complications of their cancer treatment
