Applications are invited for a substantive Consultant Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic surgeon to work at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is one of the leading cancer centres in the world and has an international reputation for the care and treatment it provides. The associated Institute of Cancer Research has a similar reputation for research and development. The partnership between the Royal Marsden Hospital and the Institute of Cancer Research constitutes a centre of excellence for research and development, education, treatment and care in cancer. Together they are acknowledged to be one of the largest comprehensive cancer centres in the world. The Royal Marsden serves a local, regional, national and international population from two hospital sites, Chelsea and Sutton.

The Gastrointestinal Unit at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is a multidisciplinary Unit comprising of clinical and medical oncologists as well as upper gastrointestinal and colorectal surgeons. The Gastrointestinal team has a large and varied research portfolio which continues to grow, providing patients with access to the latest treatments. The HPB surgical service would like to build on its strength in minimal access surgery for cancer care, including robotic surgery.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and forward thinking surgeon to the post of HPB Consultant surgeon in a 10 PA role.

In order to fulfil the responsibilities of this post you must be eligible for full GMC registration. Applicants will have or shortly be awarded their CCT in general surgery or equivalent and have extensive experience in HPB surgery including surgical oncology. The post holder will be working collaboratively with Mr Aamir Khan (consultant HPB surgeon).
