The Royal Marsden Hospital is Europe’s largest Oncology centre with sites in Chelsea and Sutton. The Diagnostic Imaging service provides an essential service to the Trust and includes CT, MRI, Mammography, Ultrasound as well as a general and IR service in Chelsea , but with a plan to increase the future IR service on the Sutton site . The imaging department has been awarded ISAS accreditation in 2018.

We are currently inviting applications from enthusiastic individuals for a band 8A IR and General superintendent radiographer post on the Chelsea site. The applicant must have 4 years post registration experience, a BSc in Radiography or equivalent, be HCPC state registered .The applicant must have had clinical hands on experience in General and oncology IR and CT /IR radiography. The post holder will be responsible for the operational management of the IR and X-ray service on the Chelsea site , which includes a shared IR on call service with Chelsea and Westminster Trust and the Royal Brompton Foundation Trust . The successful candidate should be an innovative, highly motivated radiographer with an analytical and enquiring approach to work as well as having self-motivation, effective planning and organizational skills. They must be able to demonstrate previous managerial /operational experience

The candidate must also demonstrate a commitment to professional development and show a keen interest in the future of their profession. They will be expected to support both the service and its staff in continuing to maintain and develop the highest standards of imaging.
