The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is one of the leading cancer centres in the world and has an international reputation for the care and treatment it provides. The associated Institute of Cancer Research has a similar reputation for research and development. The partnership between the Royal Marsden Hospital and the Institute of Cancer Research constitutes a centre of excellence for research and development, education, treatment and care in cancer. Together they are acknowledged to be one of the largest comprehensive cancer centres in the world. The Royal Marsden serves a local, regional, national and international population from two hospital sites, Chelsea and Sutton.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and forward thinking doctor to the post of Trust Grade Gynaecological Surgical Fellow working predominantly at the Fulham Road (Chelsea) site from April 2018.

The post holder will assist the Consultant Surgeons in the provision of Gynaecology Oncology Services and will be expected to ensure adequate support is given to the Gynaecology Team in all aspects of their service. There is also an expectation that the post holder participate in discussions with the Consultant group about performance, clinical system improvements, patient safety, education and training as well as day to day management issues.

This post will form part of the 1:7 pelvic surgery rota; the rota is non resident and provides cover for both sites of the Trust and The Royal Brompton Hospital. On-call arrangements will be within the regulation of the European Union directive.

Applicants must be eligible for full registration with the GMC and hold FRCS; MROCG, or equivalent and have experience in gynaecological oncology.
