An exciting opportunity has arisen to employ a dynamic forward thinking individual as a Band 6 staff nurse on Horder Ward. Horder ward is an 8 bedded oncology ward caring for patients undergoing surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy. Horder ward also cares for palliative patients who have complex symptom control and psychological needs.

We are looking for a caring, compassionate and competent  oncology nurse who has a specialise interest in palliative care. The ideal candidate is someone who works well under pressure, with excellent time management skills and is dedicated to excellent patient care. 

You must be a Registered Nurse with post oncology or palliative care experience. You will need to be able to work independently managing your patients and also as part of our team, demonstrating confidence and excellent interpersonal and clinical skills. You will need to be committed in developing your professional role and we will support you in order to achieve this.
