Sister / Charge Nurse- Day Surgery

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Sister/Charge Nurse for our Day Surgery and Surgical Admissions Unit in Chelsea.

This is a unique opportunity to join an established team of nurses on our forward thinking Day Surgery unit specialising in oncology. All surgical patients are admitted on the day of surgery with only a few exceptions. There are seven theatres, including two laparoscopic theatres and two da Vinci Robots and 14 recovery bays that provide care to adult patients. The team on the unit also run the day surgery pre-asssessment service, so it is a fast paced but friendly and supportive environment. The Day Surgery Sister/ Charge Nurse and team work alongside Senior Consultant’s within the surgical specialities and anaesthetics to develop and improve surgical pathways.

The successful candidate will be an experienced surgical nurse with excellent communication skills. You will be a proactive, forward thinking nurse with excellent surgical and pre- assessment clinical skills and a postgraduate qualification in this area. Recent previous team or department management and mentoring skills are essential for this role.
