An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 3 to join our APUC team in a dual role as Health Care Assistant and Front of House. The successful candidate is expected to have phlebotomy skills and to have successfully completed The Care Certificate Programme. A period of supernumerary practice will be provided with the opportunity to work closely with designated mentors from the clinical and clerical teams to learn this dual role.

The post holder will be working closely with the multi-disciplinary team, including nursing staff, medical staff, allied health professionals and other clerical staff both within the APU and throughout the rest of the Trust.

The role is to support the nursing and administrative team in the delivery of high standards of care to our patients and is integral to the effective running of the unit and as such the post holder is viewed as an essential and valued member of the team.

The successful candidate is expected to undertake both clinical duties such as venepuncture, clinical observation, ECG etc. you will also provide administrative and customer service duties working closely with the Pre-assessment and Admissions Coordinators, please ensure that you read the person specification and use it to help you complete your application.
