Day Surgery/Surgical Admissions Unit

Band 3 HCA

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, individual to join a busy team of dynamic dedicated Day Surgery nurses.

The Day Surgery nurses provide pre and post operative care for Day case patients in an oncology setting, undergoing both general and local anaesthetic procedures. They also prepare a high turnover of patients for more major surgery.

The Unit also provides a pre-assessment service to assess Day Surgery patients for surgical procedures which include specialty areas such breast, urology, plastics, gynaecology, head and neck.

It is essential that the candidate is able to work using their own initiative, and to be able to work well as part of a team. You will be required to demonstrate excellent communication skills, to work under pressure and be able to provide to a high standard of care.

You must be flexible in your approach have excellent communication skills

You will need to have recent general HCA experience and have completed the care certificate.
