The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is a centre of excellence for research, development, education and care in the treatment of cancer.
A vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Financial Accountant within the Financial Accounting team.

Reporting directly into the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for assisting in the provision of an efficient Financial Reporting function, with specific responsibilities in monthly reporting, capital, VAT and other selected control accounts. There will be a heavy focus on reviewing existing processes in these key areas and making recommendations for improvement. You will also prepare financial information for the monthly balance sheet reports and year-end statutory accounts.

The successful candidate is likely to have a background in financial accounting. Coming from either a commercial or NHS organisation, they will be able to demonstrate a strong motivation for the sector. The successful candidate will have a strong technical skill set, coupled with excellent relationship building skills and strong academics. They will also have a CCAB-recognised qualification. In person you must demonstrate confidence, initiative and integrity to work within an established and high profile organisation.
