An opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join our  Speech and Language Therapy team at the Royal Marsden Hospital based in Chelsea. You will possess excellent organisational, communication, IT and prioritisation skills. You will need to be able to work under pressure and cope with conflicting demands.

A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential. Accurate typing  including audio typing and a proven track record of secretarial experience will be necessary. The post holder must be able to demonstrate an ability to communicate well and work as part of a team. Each individual will be able to organise and prioritise their own  workload and provide secretarial support as needed to others in the Rehabilitation Department. 

We are looking for an experienced secretary with a flexible approach and a professional manner.  The post holder will act as the first point of contact for the Speech and Language Therapy Service, booking appointments, taking phone calls,  so good customer service and communication skills are essential. Audio typing includes clinical annotations and GP letters.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
