The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is the largest comprehensive cancer centre in Europe and is world renowned for cancer treatment and research. The Trust has an outstanding reputation for performance. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join the Senior MDT Navigator Team at the Trust's Chelsea site.

There are two main aspects to this role; MDT/Pathway and Training/Breach review. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring patients referred to The Royal Marsden receive their treatment within the guidelines of the National Waiting Time targets. The post holder will make sure that staff understand targets to ensure patients are seen promptly following referral and treated within the appropriate timescale. This includes monitoring patients referred to other Trusts in the Network and influencing their patient pathway, via the local MDT. The post holder will also be responsible for administrative support and organisation of site specific MDT meetings. The department has provision for two Senior MDT Navigators and the responsibility for all MDT Navigator and CWT training for the Trust comes under remit of these roles. The Trust holds two SWL Provider conferences each year and the post holder will be responsible for organising and facilitating these.

The post holder will also be required to review patient breaches and present at our Breach Review panel and work with the teams involved to ensure comprehensive pathway reviews are in place.
Previous specific MDT experience is not essential but an understanding of the CWT targets and the purpose of MDT is expected.

The Trust is committed to developing and delivering excellent customer focused service by treating patients, their families, friends, carers and staff with professionalism respect and dignity.
